The WHA has an inventory of 327 employee restricted rental units throughout Whistler that are offered to the Rental Waitlist applicants as they come available.
The rental program has evolved through the past 25 years. Rental Rates for new tenants are based on 30% of their total gross household income, with minimum and maximum rental rates. Rental rates and household incomes are reviewed annually.
WHA TENANT GUIDE
The WHA administers a detailed resource guide for each of its tenants. This guide helps identify tips and tricks for their rental unit along with vital resources for who to call in an emergency.

ANNUAL ELIGIBILITY AND RENT REVIEWS
Tenants who moved in prior to 2019 may be asked periodically for documentation to ensure that they continue to meet program qualifications. Tenants who moved in from mid-2019 and onwards must complete an annual review of their eligibility and submit household income documents for their annual rental rate calculation. This process is usually completed through the WHA Applicant Portal online through a renewal of their application. Current WHA tenants who submit an online renewal will complete a Tenancy Declaration at the anniversary of their lease signing.
RENTAL RATE CALCULATOR
The WHA provides a Rental Rate Calculator that can be used to get a general idea of what an applicant or tenant's rent may be. Rental rates are subject to an annual household eligiblity and rent review.
