The 2026 Annual Occupancy Declaration Deadline is July 2

Posted on

Each year, the WHA collects Annual Occupancy Declarations on behalf of the of the Resort Municipality of Whistler. Owners with an Employee Housing Covenant (or equivalent) registered on title of their Employee Restricted home or suite are required to complete Annual Occupancy Declaration by July 2, 2026.

The Annual Occupancy Declaration for May 2025 to May 2026 is available digitally and owners can complete it online.

Why do we ask this of owners every year?

Ensuring that the housing units are occupied by eligible Whistler employees helps maintain the integrity and purpose of the Employee Housing Program, supporting those who contribute to the local workforce.

Annual declarations give us accurate and up-to-date information, essential for program management and reporting to decision-makers. This helps in assessing the program’s impact and making necessary adjustments to better serve the Whistler community.

What happens if I don’t submit it?

Failure to complete your declaration will result in the assumption that the property is not in compliance with the housing covenant, and further enforcement action may follow.
