Construction on each of the WHA’s rental developments have achieved significant milestones in the last month:
- Sitka and Cedar: interior construction is now substantially complete. Units are now in the process of being cleaned and final deficiencies are being addressed. Exterior work has shifted from hard landscaping onto soft landscaping with soil placement and planting now underway.
- 1600 Mount Fee Road: All structures, including the 20 townhomes and five story apartment building are now fully framed. On the exterior, roof and wall membranes are being installed and the exterior insulation has also commenced ahead of the window installation, due to commence in July. Interior electrical and mechanical rough-in works are progressing throughout all buildings.
With construction at Sitka and Cedar now substantially complete, preparations are now moving forward for new tenants to move in on August 1st. Studio and One-bedroom units are fully allocated.
Two and three-bedroom vacancies remain, meaning that new family and roommate applicants who apply to the WHA rental waitlist today could sign a tenancy agreement and move in to their new home by August first.
