Updates on Whistler’s Largest Employee Housing Projects in over a decade
Construction of affordable employee housing in Whistler is underway at a scale and pace not seen since the development of the Cheakamus Crossing neighbourhood ahead of the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, marking another major step forward for rental housing for Whistler’s workers and families.
The Whistler Housing Authority (WHA), in partnership with the Whistler 2020 Development Corporation (WDC) and with the support of BC Housing and the Resort Municipality of Whistler, currently have two rental housing projects underway. These projects will deliver 229 new rental homes, representing a combined investment of more than $105 million.

- Bathroom fixtures, appliances, and doors being installed in the most advanced units; and
